VICE CHAIR - NATIONAL FIRE SPRINKLER NETWORK
Ronnie served as a Chief Fire Officer in Mid and West Wales for close to twenty years, having previously served in West Yorkshire, London, Fife, and the Fire Service Inspectorate. He retired in 2003 after 41 years in The Fire & Rescue Service.
In 2004 became Vice Chair of the National Fire Sprinkler Network in, and has campaigned for the inclusion of fire sprinklers into: Schools and Halls of Residence, all new social housing (including HMO's), Care Homes, and Nursing Homes, Hotels, warehouses, underground car parks and road tunnels, whilst aspiring to achieve sprinkler protection for all new build residential property.
As Secretary/Treasurer of the Federation of British Fire Organisations, FOBFO, since 2006, he has seen its membership grow to one which represents almost all of the key stakeholders in UK Fire, with its links into Europe, and the wider world through CTIF.
